Deadlines for Application Submission

STC Office of Financial Aid has set no deadlines by which students must apply for financial aid. As soon as the student's eligibility has been determined, the Office of Financial Aid will set up a student account and credit to his/her account, the amount of financial aid that the student has been awarded. If the charges are less than the amount awarded, the student will be issued a check for the balance.

Our Recommended Priority Dates are:

  • March 31st for Fall semester
  • October 1st for Spring semester

There is a deadline set forth by Department of Education, June 30, for the award year that is ending. Please visit the following website, http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/before003a.htm or visit any of our offices for additional information.

We encourage you to apply as soon as January 1st of every year for the new award year. The new award year is comprised of Fall, Spring and Summer Sessions, in that order. Please note that you will need information to apply: tax return(s), if you file, Child Support, Social Security Benefits, SSI, TANF, other untaxed income as appropriate.

You must apply for Financial Aid every year.
