Eligibility

These are the Eligibility requirements to be considered for Federal and State Aid at STC:

  1. Fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  2. Meet all Department of Education eligibility requirements including but not limited to:
    1. Having financial need
    2. Having a high school diploma or a General Education Development (GED) Certificate, or pass a test approved by the U.S. Department of Education (Ability to Benefit ATB). Please see Admissions Requirements for more information on ATB tests.
    3. Registering with the Selective Services, if required.
    4. Being a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
    5. Having a valid Social Security Number.
  3. Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a regular student working toward a degree or certificate in an eligible program.
  4. Meet the standards of the Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAP).
