Ombuds Services
The Office of the Ombuds at South Texas College serves as your first stop, last stop, and all the traffic lights along the way. Contact us at any point during your time at South Texas College and together we will define the problem, explore options, outline strategies, review policies, inform you about applicable resources and manage expectations. We’re here to discuss any school-related issues, big or small, confidentially and informally (off the record).
You will be seen, and heard, and learn about your options and/or develop a plan to address your concerns.
When you visit us, you will:
- Be treated with respect and dignity
- Receive guidance regardless if the issue is big or small
- Not have your conversation documented
Please know that we are here to help you and hope that you feel comfortable enough to be open with us. While at first we may be strangers, each member of our office has the responsibility to help you in any way that they can.
