Not sure which major is right for you yet? Many students start their journey as Undeclared to give themselves time to explore different areas of interest. Our staff are here to guide you along the way so that when you're ready, you can make a confident and informed decision about your major.
What It Means to Be Undeclared
Being Undeclared means you're currently exploring your options before selecting a major. It can give you some flexibility and time while you discover a career path that fits you best. But you must declare a major by the time you reach 30 credit hours (including transfer credits) to maintain financial aid eligibility.

Financial Aid Information
According to federal aid regulations:
- Undeclared students are eligible to receive financial aid for up to 30 attempted credit hours.
- After reaching 30 hours (including transfer hours), you must declare a major to continue receiving aid.
- If you are listed as non-degree seeking, you are not eligible for financial aid.
Don’t risk losing your financial aid. Schedule an appointment with your GPS to stay on track and informed.
