Behavioral Intervention Team
South Texas College is committed to maintaining a secure and supportive campus where everyone can thrive. The Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) at South Texas College plays a vital role in identifying and addressing concerning behaviors early, with the goal of preventing potential harm and promoting the overall well-being of students, faculty, staff and others in the campus community.
By utilizing a collaborative approach, the BIT works together to assess situations, provide support and make necessary referrals. This helps create a safe and supportive learning and working environment for everyone. The team also ensures that students who may be struggling receive the resources they need to overcome challenges, including counseling and academic support.
