Threads - Career Closet Outfitting your Future since 2019
The Threads Career Closet reflects STC’s caring culture and commitment to student success. Brought to you by the Office of Career & Employer Services, you can enter the workforce with access to professional business attire at no cost. Through generous donations, you can select from a wide range of clothing as you step into interviews and careers with confidence.
Eligibility
Students who meet eligibility to access The Threads Career Closet are not required to pay for clothing nor are they required to return them after use. Students must:
- Be currently enrolled at South Texas College.
- Have an active account and approved College Central Network resume.
- Provide valid Jaguar student ID.
Selecting Items
Clothing selection depends on availability. Dressing areas are available to ensure you are Styled for Success!
Donations
If you are interested in donating to the Threads Closet, please know we're a small department working to make a big difference. Your assistance in the donation process is extremely helpful. Please review guidelines before donating to our students.
Donation Requirements
- All clothing must be in good condition. Torn, stained, faded clothing should not be donated.
- Clothing must be in ready to wear condition.
- Only donate clothing you would feel comfortable wearing to an interview or work yourself!
Specific Donations Needed
- Professional suits, jackets, blazers
- Slacks, pants
- Skirts, dresses
- Scarves, belts, ties
- Dress Shirts (no logos/words)
