State Aid for Foreign Students

Non-Resident Texas Public Education Grant Funds
Non-Resident Texas Public Education Grant (TPEGNR) is a grant funded by the tuition and fees paid by non-resident students at South Texas College. This grant is exclusively available to cover tuition and fees. These funds are limited and are set aside each year to assist non-resident students.

Non-Resident students may apply for a TPEGNR award by completing the Non-Resident TPEG Request Form. The form is made available two weeks before the beginning of each semester, contingent on the availability of funds. It includes detailed instructions on how to apply, as well as the application deadlines. Students can request the form at any Student Financial Services office.

Texas Education Code 54.07 and 54.052

Students who feel that they should be considered residents under these policies should initiate the process with South Texas College Office of Admissions and Records.
