Federal Grants
Federal Pell Grant
Federal Pell Grants are awarded to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor's or professional degree. These funds are not required to be paid back. The amount awarded is based on the student's Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and the number of credit hours in which the student is enrolled during the semester. A student must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to apply for this grant.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) is an additional grant available to undergraduate students with exceptional financial need and gives priority to students who receive Federal Pell Grants and whose Expected Family Contribution (EFC) is a zero. The Student Financial Services Office will award up to $500 dollars per semester. There is no guarantee every eligible student will be able to receive a FSEOG; students at STC are awarded based on the availability of funds. Students must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to apply for this grant.
